Solution Architect
Job Description
We are seeking a Solution Architect to provide leadership and guidance in designing and delivering high-level technical solutions. Working closely with business stakeholders, architects, and engineers, this role ensures projects align with enterprise standards, support secure development practices, and deliver impactful business outcomes. The Solution Architect will act as a bridge between architecture teams and engineering, advising on design decisions and contributing to architecture artifacts.
Key Responsibilities
- Guide solution and technical design to align with enterprise architecture principles and standards
- Collaborate with business analysts, architects, and engineering teams to deliver business solutions
- Oversee high-level and detailed technical designs, ensuring compliance with security, performance, and privacy requirements
- Support implementation teams with troubleshooting, risk mitigation, and root cause analysis
- Review and validate vendor documentation, technical specifications, and system configurations
- Promote use of standard tools, products, and secure DevOps practices across projects
- Mentor technical leads and developers on architecture and design best practices
- Communicate clearly with both technical and business stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle
Skills & Experience
Must
- 8+ years within specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics)
- 3+ years of design, implementation, or consulting experience in applications and infrastructures
- Experience communicating across technical and non-technical audiences, including executive level stakeholders or clients in English and Japanese
- Highly skilled and passionate at designing and building software that meets the standards of the Insurance Services industry
- High level of emotional intelligence and experience working effectively with both internal and external team members
- Strong experience in the Financial/Insurance Services industry and working within the associated regulatory environments; expert knowledge of supporting applications and infrastructure
- Understanding of the Financial/Insurance Services solutions vendor ecosystem and their key offerings
- Comfortable and effective when working in a virtual environment
- Experience in development skills, with the ability to implement PoC prototypes using mainstream languages such as Java, .NET, or Python.
